A Body of Work

GROUP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Gyrokinesis®
This class is yoga in motion. The workout is performed seated on a short stool as well as on the floor. Focus is placed on breath and continuous movement. Classes are open to all levels of movement experience and fitness.

Mat and Reformer
This class will introduce and develop the fundamental principles of Pilates - breath, firing the core muscles with precision, and mobilizing the spine and major joints of the body to experience fluid movement. It will focus on beginning level exercises on the mat and reformer, and may include exercises with the physioball, foam roller, magic circle and theraband. You will find your posture change for the better and you will definitely feel your muscles get a powerful workout.

Reformer
The reformer group class is open to students with experience in Pilates and on the reformer apparatus. It will expand upon the beginning level exercises bring in more advanced postures and exercises. Classes are mixed level and are taught at the appropriate level of the participants. The student to teacher ratio is low, ensuring individualized attention by the instructor.

Pilates Mat
Mat classes provide a complete workout of Pilates exercises without equipment. These exercises condition the abdominals and spine while increasing flexibility of the limbs. Classes are mixed level and are taught at the appropriate level for the participants. It is recommended that individuals with movement limitations or special conditions consult with the instructor before attending the class. If you have your own exercise mat, please bring it.
